Understand the Issues
Review our legislative summary to stay informed about key issues affecting our community:
- Download the Legislative Summary with the link provided in the TCGC email
- Find the bill that needs Action and note the bill number, either HBnnnn or SBnnnn
- Click on the Committee name. A new tab/window will open with the Committee information
- Find the Committee name. Just below it you will see a link – “email the committee”

Contact Your Representatives
- Right-click on the link and select “copy email address”
- Open your email program and create a new message
- In the “To:” field, right-click and select “Paste” to insert the Committee email addresses
- In the “Subject:” field, enter either “Support” or “Oppose” and the bill number
- Enter your message in the body of the email. Be respectful and to the point. A couple of sentences are all you need. Be sure to repeat “Oppose” or “Support” and the bill number
- At the bottom, include your name and full address, and your email and/or phone number
- Send the email
